In 2001 Neusa Maria Silva founded ekobé wellness center and developed the ekobé bodywork therapy and the CRIAR© method. Neusa Maria Silva was introduced to the healing arts during her childhood by her mother, a mid wife in a small village in Brazil and by her grandma, a second generation native Brazilian who knew all about plants and natural medicine. While an intern in a Carmelite Convent she also learned energy healing from Sister Carimele.
She acquired a Business degree at the Newton Paiva University, in Brazil. A Holistic Health Practitioner degree from Mueller College of Holistic Studies, in San Diego and anatomy classes from the UCSD.
Neusa Maria Silva is a Paramahansa Yogananda's and Paramahansa Nithyananda's devotee, following the path of Raja Yoga. Neusa practices and constantly expands her knowledge in Meditation, Hatha Yoga, Compassionate Communication; The Work (Byron Katie); the Five Tibetan Rites, the teachings of Eckhart Tolle; Acupressure for Emotional Healing; Body Work and Massage Therapy and diverse studies of anatomy, kinesiology, physiology, cellular biology, pathology as well as Eastern and Western traditions for physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
